About Us

Bordertown Caravan Park is situated 280km from Adelaide and 450km from Melbourne in the Tatiara Region. If you are travelling down the Duke’s Highway, Bordertown Caravan Park is a great place to stop and rest. Stay for a night, a week, or a couple of months in the park – all are welcome – even furry friends (conditions apply).

Accommodation Options

Cedar Cabins

From $110 per night

Bedrooms: 2 (Queen size bed and single bunk bed)

Maximum Occupancy: 5 people – max. 4 Adults

Our modern self-contained cedar cabins can accommodate up to 5 people (max. 4 Adults). Consisting of 2 bedrooms, ensuite, kitchen and open plan lounge/dining; the cedar cabin is perfect for families.

Facilities:

  • Reverse cycle air conditioner
  • 2 bedrooms (one with QS bed, one with single bunk beds)
  • Ensuite – toilet, shower and basin
  • Kitchen – Hot plates, microwave, cutlery, pans, crockery, toaster, refrigerator and kettle
  • TV and Lounge (folds flat for extra bed *not sofa bed* – linen not supplied)
  • Outdoor covered sitting area attached to cabin
  • Coffee, tea, sugar and milk provided for first night
  • All linen/towels provided (except for futon lounge)

Banksia Cabins

$75 per night

Bedrooms: Open Plan (Queen Size bed)

Maximum Occupancy: 2 Adults

Our Banksia cabins are ideal for couples wanting to upgrade from camping or for overnight stays.

  • Basic Kitchen – Microwave, cutlery, crockery, toaster, electric frypan, refrigerator and kettle

Open Plan Cabin

$90 per night

Bedrooms: Open Plan (Queen Size bed)

Maximum Occupancy: 2 Adults

Our Open Plan cabin is a larger version of our Banksia Cabin. It has a lounge/dining area and kitchen. A great cabin for couples who need to stay more than one night and require cooking facilities.

Local Attractions

Bordertown is the gateway to South Australia and the Limestone Coast in the South East. Situated on the Dukes Highway, Bordertown is 280km from Adelaide and 450km from Melbourne.

Bordertown is part of the Tatiara District of South Australia. Tatiara is an aboriginal word meaning “the good country”.

The town was established in 1852 and was the site of a base camp created by Police Inspector Alexander Tolmer. Bordertown is famous for the white kangaroos found in the Wildlife Park, Historic Clayton Farm, the birthplace of Bob Hawke, and Tolmer Park, once the site of the police camp where officers on the Gold Escort Route would change their horses.

There is much to see and do in Bordertown! When in town be sure to visit the Bordertown Visitor Information Centre where you can pick up more information about the surrounding areas and also start the “Bordertown Walking Tour” from there.
